- Spent september 2018 at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop, on the shores of the Baltic See.

A wonderful place to work and meet interesting people. During the residency I began the

writing of the piece "gavilla, espliego, alazán" for accordion & percussion.



- 'Overtüre' for improvising piano and orchester premiered by

Johanna Borchert and the Jenaer Philharmonie under Bernd Ruf on february 16th, 2017.



- 'exsequiis' for two voices and five instruments premiered by 'Auditivvokal Dresden'

and the 'Ensemble Iberoamericano' at the Tonlage Festival - Hellerau, Dresden (october 2016).



- Conducting the first performance of 'ευλυσια' (Eulysia) for eight bass clarinets at the

Bimhuis in Amsterdam on january 2016. With Fie Schouten, Marij van Gorkom, Armand Angster,

Petra Stump & Heinz-Peter Linshalm, Tobias Klein, Laura Carmichael & Stephan Vermeersch.

Commisioned by the 'Eduard van Beinum Stichting', Netherlands.



- Héctor spent most of october 2013 at the Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, Italy, on a residency grant

from the Bellagio Center of the Rockefeller Foundation. There he began to work on the piece 'fogwill',

for saxophon quartet, commissioned by the german sonic-art-quartet, which will be premiered by them

at the beginning of december in Berlin.



- Héctor won the Second Prize for his piece 'Lichtzwang' at the Stuttgart Composition Competition 2012

in Germany. The Prize ceremony was hold on february 7th in Stuttgart (during the opening concert of the

'Eclát' Festival) and was broadcasted on february the 20th. Interprets were Gareth Davis on bass clarinet,

Andrew Digby on trombone and Teodoro Anzellotti on accordion. On the photo, left to right, Stuttgart's mayor

Fritz Kuhn, Héctor Moro, Vito Zuraj and Hans-Peter Jahn, of the SWR (Southwest German Radio).



- During the summer semester 2012 I will be teaching the seminar 'Improvisation und Neue Musik'

(Improvisation & Contemporary Music) at the Univerität der Künste (University of the Arts) in Berlin.

Through practical exercises and audition of selected music the course aims to build up the improvisatorial

skills of the students and get them prepared to perform a concert with only improvised music

(with and without electronics). Open to music and art students alike.



- Finally the CD with the music of my rock-pop-electronica project ('MORO') is out!

- New CD of the Ensemble Modern Series: Uwe Dierksen plays two pieces of mine

('rockaby' & 'shadows') among other ones by Berio, Zappa, Oehring, etc.

- The clarinetist Fie Schouten (on bass clarinet) together with Marko Kassl (accordion) and

Koen Kaptijn (trombone) recorded Héctor's piece 'Lichtzwang' for the Karnatic Lab Records.

They will present the CD, which also includes pieces by Grisey, Hosokawa, Wolff and Mukarno,

on february 14th in Amsterdam.



- Héctor performed together with Sascha Armbruster on saxophone & Dave Bennett on guitar

during the 'Impresiones Sonoras' Symposium in Berlin. Organized by the Institut für Neue Musik

(Institut for New Music) of the Universität der Künste and the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule,

the concert took place on July the 3th.



- My experimental / electronic trio ALLÉE DU KLANG released its 'Live in Berlin 2005' CD

at the end of April. Already available through the independent internet music store

CD Baby and the iTunes Store (worldwide).
